A great day with goats and white milk. (Imabic Pan..)

He went to the store for cold milk. The door closed shut with a small tink, that all the people heard. The shoes got wet from the juice on the floor, as he went down the aisle. The search was over when the milk was found, the carton with the blue top. He took the cart next to the fruit and placed the milk within. He stopped; the date had past a week from this new day.

He chose a new container. The date had not yet passed, which was best for the taste. It was at that point the goat appeared. The white fur and the horns were clean, and it chewed on a can for lunch. He stared at the goat for a time, then he went to it. He put his hand on the goat.

"Good Goat." He said. The goat had made a sound. Weird day.

The websites that interest the browncoat.

In my experience, websites have a personal taste which draws me. I have found my interest in writing and journalism from this format. My preferences reflect those areas as a whole.

One of my favorite forms of writing is the fan fiction: fan-written work which reflects and glorifies a specific show, book, or video-game based on the author's idea of a plotline. Fanfiction.net is the forefront to this genre of writing, which interests me since it provides an inspiration when I read the right authors. It also adds a great amount of enjoyment, as I see my favorite characters in new, interesting moments in my imagination. (Fanfiction.Net)

The internet and programs regarding flash animation are new forms of entertainment which are exclusive only to the web. by stringing together images in a developed manner, the artist runs any of them in sequence to achieve the desired effect. Newgrounds is the premier site for the flash community, housing several beginner as well as expert creations for the audience to see. Although the majority are animations expressing humor, the occasional interactive game or a well-created short is released which are incredibly well accepted. (Newgrounds)

Being a game reviewer for the school paper, I have to review several sources for information on the recent news of the field, as well as the recent reactions to games by other players. Although millions of sites exist which do that function, very few offer detailed coverage. The two I use the most are IGN and Gamespot; not only do both these sites provide insight into the games people play, but information on the gaming industry in general, something which is integral to my interests as a gamer. My Academic Life and Goals....In a nutshell.

My studies really began in Middle School, especially at twelve, where I found that I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome: A communicative learning disorder which involves a depreciation of social skills coupled with an increased and active intelligence. When I learned of this information, I also found out the truth of my education problems from my mother: the officials monitoring my supposedly equal and glorious education thought that I would never graduate from High School, much less enter College. At that moment, I was incredibly determined to prove them wrong.

My studies became the primary outlet of my enjoyment, because it' nightly completion allowed me to play my video games and improve my imagination and sense of wonder in the process. I felt that as a growing student who had something to prove to the people of my town, I wasn't going to destroy my mother's hopes or my own by procrastinating. I eventually felt that I wouldn't have the time to enjoy my obcession for the electronic interactive media, but I also knew my work came first. It led to a compromise of equality that has remained with me to this day; work before play, even if the work is enjoyable.

It was my junior year at Rye High School when I realized that I could combine my two interests into one in the form of videogame journalism. I was a subscriber to several gaming magazines and owned many console systems. I started freelancing for the school newspaper at this time. I won an award from the New York Times for my exploits, along with the team I created with reviews that I wrote and edited with my comrades.

This class, along with the other writing courses I have taken, are means to a end; to work for a prominent gaming magazine. This class is special, however, since it relates to the area of expertise I am interested in: writing for the media to an express audience. Writing to me is to immerse yourself in the knowledge and styles that literature along with media writing. As such, every class in my major has been successful in improving my writing style, even analyzing the works of different eras. Writing has always been a hobby as well as a means to an end. I love to write, and to learn.
